Behavioral Health Therapist

YOUTH HEALTH SERVICE SEEKING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPISTS IN RANDOLPH COUNTY! 

Are you eager to use your master’s degree as a counselor, social worker, or psychologist? Are you passionate about helping kids and teens who have experienced trauma? Would you enjoy small-town living?
Youth Health Service, Inc. is an outpatient behavioral health center helping families throughout North Central West Virginia. We provide individual, family, and group therapy in office- and school-based settings. We are currently looking for a full or part time therapists to help treat our kids and teens in Pocahontas County, West Virginia and in our Upshur/Barbour County sites. We value helping our staff grow professionally as we help our clients reach their own potential.
If you have at least a master’s degree in counseling, social work, or psychology, we can provide:
  • Supervision for licensure
  • Student loan repayment options through eligibility through the National Health Service Corp; Student loan forgiveness, such as Public Service Loan Forgiveness, is also achievable at this non-profit company
  • A comprehensive benefit package and a competitive salary for full-time staff

Clinical Psychologist

Youth Health Service, Inc. is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to help facilitate outpatient behavioral health services for children and families in the West Virginia counties of Randolph (main site), Pocahontas, Tucker, Upshur, Barbour, and Lewis.

If you are passionate about helping others, enjoy working with teams, and think living surrounded by picturesque small towns and mountains is idyllic, this may the perfect job for you!
The selected candidate must be a Master’s or Doctoral degree holder with either a Psychology License or Gold Card provisional eligibility.  Supervision for full licensure will be available at this site.

Internship Programs

Youth Health Service works cooperatively with a number of colleges, universities, and job shadowing and training programs to provide an enriching, clinically grounded learning experience for students interested in the social work, psychology, medical, sociology, other human service and educational fields. Interested students, professors, or job placement agencies should call the main office in Elkins at 304.636.9450 to discuss available opportunities.

Volunteer

There are a variety of ways volunteers may contribute to the promotion of child mental health services and early childhood education at YHS. These might include entertaining children in the waiting room, organizing libraries and other resources, and fund raising, just to name a few. Volunteers who are working on site and with children are subject to the same security screening required for employees including the completion of an application, reference checks, and background checks.

Work Study at YHS

Students in college level nursing, psychology, and human services programs may be eligible to complete their required internships at YHS.  YHS has hosted students from West Virginia University, Davis and Elkins College, Alderson-Broddeus College, Glenville State College, West Virginia Wesleyan, and Fairmont State College. Students interested may call the main site in Elkins to speak with someone about placement options.
