YHS provides transportation to and from appointments, HT daycare, and afterschool care. The ability to provide regular transportation will depend on the individual need and the ability of our transportation department to meet the necessary schedules. We will coordinate school age transportation to and from each child's school with Randolph County Schools as possible.
Transportation forms must be signed by a parent or legal guardian before the child can be transported by YHS.
To get transportation for your child you need to go through your case manager and they will contact transportation to put them on the schedule.
Transportation has also been growing the garden at YHS this year. Here is a picture of their wonderful job.

The switchboard at YHS is in operation from 7:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M., Monday thru Friday.If you need transportation or are canceling an appointment, please let us know 24 hours in advance.
TRANSPORTATION GUIDELINES
- It is state law, as well as our policy, that alll passengers wear seat belts.
- All children will be secured in appropriate seats.
- Infants to 20 lbs-infant seat
- Children 20 to 40 lbs-booster seat
- Children 40 lbs or 4 + years-regular seat with seat belt.
- The van will pick up for daily or weekly appointments. The van will sound the horn on arrival at your pick up and willl wait 5 minutes. Due to our busy schedule we ask for your consideration by contacting us ahead of time if you are unable to keep your appointment and please be ready when your van arrives.
- No profanity or disruptive behavior on van.
- No food or drinks permitted on van. Baby bottles are allowed, but no soda, please!
- No smoking is permitted on vans.
