Youth Health Service, Inc., is happy to announce its new look due to its recent reorganization. The reorganization came about so that our clients can benefit from more specialized care based on their age and developmental level. There are now three teams that complete the division; Early Childhood (birth to age 8), Children's (age 8 to 12), and Adolescent (age 12 to 18). A service that is being utilized more is groups. There are many groups going on at this time, including Anger Management, ADHD, TNDA, and a Learned Optimism Group, as well as a Dinosaur School.

MedChecks:

Most clients are seen for medication monitoring once a month. The client and a parent or guardian meet with a nurse to complete a assessment of the clients functioning including (blood pressure, pulse, weight, vital signs, side effects, and behaviors). Then they are seen by Dr. Chandran and the Case Manager to address any changes/adjustments to medication or other recommended treatment or therapy.

Dr. Chandran grew up in Elkins, attended college in Binghanton, NY. Returned to Medical School at WVU and eventually returned to Elkins. He's a musician and a world traveler.
