FULL TIME BEHAVIORAL HEALTH THERAPIST - UPSHUR & LEWIS and RANDOLPH & TUCKER COUNTIES
Youth Health Service, Inc. (YHS) is currently seeking applications for two full-time behavioral health therapist positions, one therapist providing services in Upshur and Lewis Counties and one therapist providing services in Randolph and Tucker Counties. YHS is a growing behavioral health center that provides outpatient services to children and families throughout North Central WV.
- Sign on bonus for selected candidates.
- Therapists at YHS receive eligibility for tuition reimbursement through the National Health Service Corp.
- Positions include comprehensive benefit package and competitive salary. EOE.
- Provide behavioral health therapy for children and adolescents in schools, homes, and clinic settings.
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling
- License and experience preferred but not required
- Must be comfortable with children 3 yrs of age to young adults up to 24 years of age
- Must be comfortable working with families
- Dependable transportation required
- Typical work hours: Monday-Friday daytime hours, some flexibility required
- Responsibilities: Provide individual, group, and family therapy for youth enrolled into outpatient behavioral health services.

There are a variety of ways volunteers may contribute to the promotion of child mental health services and early childhood education at YHS. These might include entertaining children in the waiting room, organizing libraries and other resources, and fund raising, just to name a few. Volunteers who are working on site and with children are subject to the same security screening required for employees including the completion of an application, reference checks, and background checks.
Work Study at YHS
Students in college level nursing, psychology, and human services programs may be eligible to complete their required internships at YHS. YHS has hosted students from West Virginia University, Davis and Elkins College, Alderson-Broddeus College, Glenville State College, West Virginia Wesleyan, and Fairmont State College. Students interested may call the main site in Elkins to speak with someone about placement options.
